The Lewitt MTP 5 is a dynamic cardioid live vocal microphone engineered to deliver studio-quality clarity on stage. Built around a tailored moving-coil dynamic capsule operating as a pressure gradient transducer, the MTP 5 produces outstanding vocal intelligibility with crisp high-end response and natural midrange presence — a sound signature shaped specifically for live performance rather than simply adapted from a studio design. Sensitivity is 2mV/Pa (–54dBV/Pa) with an internal impedance of 280 ohms, and the gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector ensures a reliable, corrosion-resistant connection to any stage or monitor system.

Feedback resistance is a core design priority. The MTP 5's highly efficient cardioid polar pattern provides effective rejection of off-axis sources, and the frequency response has been specifically optimised to suppress high-frequency content from loud stage instruments such as drums — helping vocalists maintain a clean, intelligible signal even in dense live mixes without additional EQ. The cupping-safe design maintains tonal definition and polar response stability when vocalists hold the microphone close to or over the grille, giving performers the freedom to work naturally without unintended tonal shifts or feedback vulnerability.

The chassis and mesh are built from zinc die-cast and full-metal materials throughout — constructed to absorb mic drops, survive rough touring routines, and hold up to the mechanical demands of daily live use. The MTP 5 weighs 336g and measures 48mm x 179mm. It ships with a microphone clip, windscreen, and transport bag, and is also available in a switch version for talkback, emcee, and panel discussion applications.
