Buying LEWITT microphones in South Africa
OneStopMusic is the online home of Marshall Music Pretoria, and LEWITT is a stocked brand here rather than a special order. Prices on this page are in South African Rand, stock levels are live, and orders ship anywhere in South Africa or can be collected from our Menlo Park store.
Which LEWITT microphone you want usually follows from what you are recording. For a first home-studio condenser the LCT 240 PRO and the LCT 040 MATCH are the usual starting points, and the LCT 140 AIR stereo pair covers acoustic guitar and overheads. Recording a full drum kit is what BEATKIT is for, with the DTP 640 REX on the kick. On stage the MTP 5 and MTP 840 DM are the workhorse dynamics, and the MTP W950 puts a detachable condenser capsule on a handheld. If you are building a room around one microphone, the LCT 640 TS records cardioid and figure-8 to separate channels so the polar pattern is still yours to choose after the take, and the LCT 940 and LCT 1040 combine tube and FET circuits in a single body.
