Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4 4-Channel Modal PWM Compressor

Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4 4-Channel Modal PWM Compressor

The Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4 4-channel modal PWM compressor is a 2U rackmount dynamics processor that brings mastering-grade compression, deep tone shaping, and full digital recall into a single unit. At the heart of the Brick Lane MC4 is Cranborne Audio's proprietary Modal PWM compression architecture — a digitally controlled analog system that reshapes the behaviour of the gain stage itself rather than simply adjusting ratio and threshold, resulting in six distinct compression characters within a single device. As a result, engineers gain access to Velvet (a Vari-Mu style mode, soft and rich in overtones), Float (Opto-style transparent compression), Smash (aggressive FET style for drums), Tame (fast technical transient control), Glue (classic VCA bus compression), and Polish (a mastering limiter for final polish). In addition, each channel includes an enhanced noise gate with analog lookahead for precise, transparent gating. OneStopMusic South Africa stocks the Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4 for studios and engineers across South Africa who want a single dynamics processor that can cover every compression scenario.

Flexible Routing and Modern Recall From the Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4 4-Channel Modal PWM Compressor

Whether you're compressing four independent mono channels, linking pairs for stereo bus work, or running mid/side processing on a stereo master, the Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4 4-channel modal PWM compressor adapts with routing options that include mono, stereo, mid/side, series, dual-band, and de-esser configurations. The audio signal path remains 100% analog throughout, however all parameters are digitally controlled for repeatable, session-ready recall via a 5" full-colour TFT display, LED rings, and encoders. USB and Ethernet connectivity link the MC4 to Cranborne Audio's dedicated control plugin for full DAW integration and instant preset management across sessions. OneStopMusic South Africa recommends the Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4 to South African producers and mix engineers seeking one unit that handles tracking, mixing, and mastering compression with equal authority.

Cranborne Audio

Founded in the UK in 2017 and launched at the 2018 NAMM Show, Cranborne Audio set out to bring a "modern approach to vintage sound" to project, large-format, and home studios. The name nods to Cranborne House, the former Soundcraft headquarters where the founders first worked together — and that pro-console heritage shows up throughout the range. Cranborne's products pair transparent, high-headroom analog signal paths with switchable Mojo saturation circuits, letting engineers dial in vintage colour on demand rather than being stuck with it.
