The WesAudio ng76 brings the legendary 1176-style FET compressor into a fully analog, digitally recallable rack unit, built on the proven WesAudio Beta76 design. With +24dBu of headroom and a 100% analog signal path, it delivers the lightning-fast, punchy compression that has defined countless recordings for over 50 years — now with seamless DAW integration and instant total recall. Four ratio settings (4:1, 8:1, 12:1, 20:1) plus ALL BUTTON MODE and every combination in between cover everything from subtle leveling to extreme FET squash.

Selectable Modern and Vintage input modes replicate two classic 1176 revisions — Vintage uses a transformer-balanced input (Rev. F) for warm, traditional tone, while Modern offers an electronically balanced input (Rev. G) for a cleaner, more transparent sound. A dedicated MIX knob enables parallel compression and can blend in the unit's Saturation Mode, where a single knob drives INPUT and OUTPUT in opposite directions for use as a saturation box or clipper. THD control (LOW/HIGH) shapes harmonic content based on the FET circuit, Carnhill transformers color both input and output stages, and a two-section sidechain EQ (HPF at 60/90/150Hz, high shelf at 2/5/10kHz) offers precise frequency-dependent compression.

Two ng76 units can be linked via dedicated software and a included cable for true stereo operation with synchronized parameters, or run independently in dual mono. Like the rest of the ngLine, it offers total recall and full plugin control (VST2, VST3, AU, AAX, AAX DSP), hardware A/B comparison, analog automation, and USB/Ethernet connectivity — classic FET character with a modern, automatable hybrid workflow.
