How to choose
Choose based on whether you want a playable keyboard with vocal effects or a desktop sound engine to pair with your own controller.
Beginner
A newer player will get more immediate results from the MiniNova, since it has keys you can play right away and a vocoder for fun vocal effects without extra gear. Set it on a stable stand near your computer, plug in headphones to practice quietly, and keep the keys clean and dust free.
Intermediate
If you already have a MIDI controller or keyboard, the Peak works well as an added sound source, giving you polyphonic patches to layer under existing parts. Route it into your interface, save patches you like, and keep cables tidy so it stays easy to patch into different setups.
Expert
An experienced producer can run the MiniNova and Peak together, using the MiniNova for playable vocoder lines and the Peak for thick polyphonic pads recorded in stereo. Keep firmware updated, store patches offline as backups, and give both units proper ventilation during long sessions.
