How to choose
Match the rest to the size of your instrument and how much adjustment you want from the feet.
Beginner
A beginner on a 1/2 or 3/4 size violin should start with the Kun Original in that size, since it is the standard fit most teachers recommend. Attach it so the feet sit just inside the edges of the back, and remove it carefully after each session so the feet do not mark the varnish.
Intermediate
A player who has moved to a full 4/4 violin can compare the Original 4/4 with the Solo model, which is built for a slightly higher and firmer hold. Adjust the height gradually over a few practice sessions rather than all at once, so the change in posture feels natural.
Expert
An advanced violinist or violist who wants a lower profile can try the Collapsible for easy transport between lessons and rehearsals, or the Super and Super Viola for a firmer grip during demanding repertoire. Check the rubber feet regularly and replace the rest if the grip feels loose, since a stable rest matters most at speed.
