How to choose
With one product here, choosing comes down to whether a silver tenor ligature suits your mouthpiece and reed setup.
Beginner
A student saxophonist fitting this ligature should make sure the screws sit evenly and are not overtightened, since too much pressure can choke the reed's vibration. Loosen it slightly when the instrument is not in use to avoid warping the reed over time.
Intermediate
Players comparing ligatures should notice how the silver finish and tension of this model affects brightness and response compared to their current setup. Try it with a couple of different reed strengths to hear how it changes your tone.
Expert
Experienced players often keep more than one ligature on hand to match different playing situations, using this EGR model when they want its particular tonal character. Clean it regularly, since residue buildup from reeds can affect how evenly it grips over time.
