How to choose
Decide whether you need volume control or expression control for a connected instrument, then choose accordingly.
Beginner
A player new to foot pedals should start with the FV-50H to get comfortable with smooth volume swells during practice. Position it where your foot naturally rests, and practise gentle movements before using it in a full song.
Intermediate
Players using keyboards with assignable parameters may prefer the EV-30, which offers two expression channels for controlling different settings at once. Assign each channel to a useful parameter, and rehearse switching between them before a live set.
Expert
Performers running more complex keyboard rigs can use the EV-30 to control two parameters simultaneously while relying on the FV-50H for a separate volume path. Map pedal assignments carefully within your instrument's settings, and check both pedals are responding correctly during soundcheck.
