How to choose
Choose the gauge based on how much tension and low end you want from your electric guitar.
Beginner
A beginner can start with the lighter 10-46 gauge, which is easier to fret and bend while building technique. Check the string ball ends are seated properly at the bridge when fitting them.
Intermediate
A more experienced player wanting extra sustain and a slightly darker tone can try the 11-50 gauge. Give the guitar a quick tuning check before and after your first few playing sessions on new strings.
Expert
A dedicated player can compare both gauges on the same guitar to hear how nickel wrap and tension change dynamics and touch response. Keep unused sets sealed and stored away from humidity to preserve their tone before fitting.

About DR in Electric Strings
DR Pure Blues strings use a pure nickel wrap that many players associate with a warmer, more vintage electric guitar tone compared to nickel plated steel. They suit blues, rock and classic tone players.
This page has the two available gauges of DR Pure Blues electric strings, 10-46 and 11-50.
