How to choose
Think about the shape of the room you cover most often, since a column array suits wide, shallow spaces well.
Beginner
First-time users benefit from the simple setup of the CA12A, since it is one active unit rather than several boxes to connect. Place it centrally, keep the volume moderate while you learn how the column spreads sound, and store it upright in its bag when not in use.
Intermediate
If you run functions or corporate events regularly, the CA12A works well for speech and background music in rooms where guests are seated across a wide area. Position it away from walls to avoid reflections and check coverage from the back of the room during setup.
Expert
Experienced operators use the CA12A where a conventional point-source speaker would create uneven coverage, such as long rooms or rooms with low ceilings. Combine it with an Agera active subwoofer for events needing more low end, and test the pairing during a full soundcheck.
