A flute student starting out should check with a teacher whether Volume 3 matches their current grade before buying, since it may suit a student already past the earliest stages.

Intermediate

A viola student progressing through grades can use Time Pieces for Viola, Volume 1 to build a varied repertoire alongside exam or method books.

Expert

A teacher assigning repertoire can draw on either volume to give students structured pieces that build reading and performance skills over a term.
