How to choose
Choosing here mainly means deciding how many monitors you need and which finish suits your room.
Beginner
Someone setting up their first serious monitoring pair can buy two of the 3-Way 8 inch monitors for a proper stereo setup, placing them at equal height and distance from the listening position. Start mixing at a low volume until you learn how the monitors represent your mixes.
Intermediate
A producer upgrading from smaller monitors can use the 3-Way Tri-Amped design's extra driver to hear more detail across the frequency range during mixing. Compare mixes on headphones as well, since even a good 3-way monitor benefits from a second reference point.
Expert
An engineer running a dedicated mix room can use a matched pair of these monitors as the main reference for client work, choosing the finish that suits the room's look. Keep the monitors positioned consistently and avoid moving them between sessions, since small position changes affect what you hear.
