How to choose

Epiphone follows Gibson's body styles. Choose the body style that suits your music, then the model within it.

Beginner

If you are buying your first Epiphone, a Les Paul Studio E1 is a solid choice for rock and blues. If you prefer lighter guitars with more versatile tone, try an ES-335 style semi-hollow. Check that the neck feels comfortable and ask us to check the setup. Add a case, since Epiphone cases are made to fit the shapes exactly.

Intermediate

If you already play, Epiphone's higher models add better pickups and figured tops. The Les Paul Custom Figured and ES-335 Figured give a more premium look and sound. Try the 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue for a vintage tone. Bass players can look at the Thunderbird '64 for a classic rock sound.

Expert

For experienced players, Epiphone's reissue and signature models are serious instruments. The 1958 Korina Flying V, the ES-355 Futura and artist models such as the DG-335 each have a distinct character. Compare neck profiles and pickups carefully, and consider upgrading pickups or hardware to bring a favourite Epiphone even closer to your ideal sound.

About Epiphone

Epiphone is owned by Gibson, and many of its guitars follow classic Gibson designs, including the Les Paul, the ES-335, the Flying V and the Thunderbird bass. That lets players get the look, feel and much of the sound of these famous instruments at a lower price.

The range also includes signature models for well-known artists, such as the Dave Grohl DG-335 and the Emily Wolfe Sheraton, as well as acoustic guitars and bass guitars.
