The Wharfedale Pro XLA-308 is a premium 3-way passive line array element from Wharfedale Pro’s flagship XLA system, engineered for high-performance touring, large-scale live sound, and demanding fixed-installation applications. Designed around professional B&C transducers and advanced acoustic technology, the XLA-308 delivers exceptional clarity, projection, and phase coherence across a wide frequency range.

At the low-frequency end, the XLA-308 incorporates two 8-inch neodymium woofers, each housed in its own independently vented chamber. These drivers feature aluminium frames, 2.5-inch voice coils, copper shorting caps, and precision phase plugs, providing powerful and controlled low-frequency reproduction while keeping the enclosure relatively compact.

The mid/high section uses a time-coherent B&C coaxial compression driver, paired with Wharfedale Pro’s EVO-FLOW waveguide. This design provides excellent phase coherence, detailed reproduction and consistent coverage, with a nominal 110° horizontal × 10° vertical dispersion. The vertical splay angle can be adjusted from 0° to 10° in 1° increments, allowing multiple XLA-308 elements to be configured for precise audience coverage.

The XLA-308 is a passive bi-amplified system, providing separate LF and MHF sections. It is rated at 700 W LF + 150 W MHF continuous, increasing to 2,800 W LF + 600 W MHF peak. The system is designed to be used with Wharfedale Pro’s preset library for correct system processing and performance.

Built from birch plywood with a durable powder-coated perforated steel grille and Tough-Tone finish, the XLA-308 is designed for professional deployment. Integral three-point rigging allows the enclosure to be flown or ground-stacked as part of a scalable XLA system.
