The Dixon Gregg Bissonette “Big Bud” Signature Snare Drum – 8″ x 14″ Walnut is a premium signature snare developed in collaboration with legendary drummer Gregg Bissonette. Inspired by the huge, warm snare sounds of the ’70s and ’80s, the Big Bud delivers a powerful combination of deep punch, rich body, and exceptional sensitivity. Whether used as a main snare, side snare, or “snom” (snare/tom hybrid), this versatile instrument is designed to add a unique voice to any drum setup.

The shell is crafted from a 6-ply hybrid construction consisting of 2 plies of walnut and 4 plies of maple, reinforced with 2.4mm reinforcement hoops. This combination produces a warm, full-bodied tone with outstanding projection and controlled sustain, while the rounded top and 45° bottom bearing edges maximise resonance and responsiveness.
