The Casio CDP S360 is a great performer’s instrument, ideal for the travelling musician. Casio’s proprietary “high-density mounting technology” has allowed them to create a digital piano with a highly authentic, graded hammer-action keyboard – all encased within an extremely lightweight and portable body. With a depth of only 232mm, this piano will easily fit into any practice space. Add in the fact that it can run on battery power for approximately 4 hours, and this is truly a piano you can play anywhere.

The CDP S360 comes with 700 high-quality tones built-in, including everything from grand pianos and electric pianos, to organs and harpsichords, to wind instruments and synthesiser sounds. Combined with the built-in effects such as reverb, chorus, and layering, you’ll have an enormous variety of tones and timbres to explore and create with. If that’s not enough for you, this piano is MIDI enabled and has a USB connection, allowing you to connect to a computer or smartphone and access musical software for learning, composing, and recording.

Packed with expression

This piano comes with Casio’s Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II system. This is a graded keyboard, meaning the action goes from heavier to lighter as you move up the keyboard – just as with a real piano. The keys have been given a fine-grained finish, reducing slippage and increasing comfort, as well as improving the realism of the piano. This highly accurate portrayal of a real piano’s keyboard allows you to play it with all of the expression and feeling of a concert grand.

The CDP S360 comes brimming with sounds, featuring 700 unique and expressive voices for you to explore. These can be easily navigated and selected using the piano’s LCD screen, then manipulated and combined using the on-board effects and layering tools. For extra flair, you can use the pitch bend wheel to add inflections to your playing!

This means you can use this piano to control virtual instruments, scoring software, and DAWs such as Ableton or Garage Band. This hugely opens up the possibilities available to you, and turns the CDP S360 into a powerful recording and music production tool.

Alternatively, the CDP S360 is compatible with the Casio Bluetooth Dongle (not included), which turns your digital piano into a Bluetooth device. This allows you to transmit MIDI data, letting you use apps like Casio Music Space wirelessly. It also allows the piano to receive audio by Bluetooth, so you can connect your smart device and use your piano like a wireless speaker!

Casio Music Space

This product now works with Casio’s companion app, Casio Music Space. This app will allow you to access new possibilities with your Casio product whatever your playing ability. It can be used as a learning aid with a vast library of songs which you can play along with. Each note and its duration is shown visually in a piano roll making it easy to find the right notes and see how a piece of music is written. If you’re more confident with reading music then you can try out the score mode – use the inbuilt scores or import your own to play along with! Page turns can be done with a pedal so you can focus entirely on your reading and playing.

A live concert simulator will simulate the reverb of a real concert space with several different settings to make you feel like you’re performing in a wide variety of concert venues. You can also now access your digital piano or keyboard’s settings quickly and easily with the app. No more remembering key and button combinations to alter settings – you can now change them in an easy to use and visual menu included in Casio Music Space.
