The TD516 is powered by Roland’s V51 module, which uses the same flagship-derived sound engine as the V-Drums 7 Series. That means you can shape the sound of the snare head separately from the rim or tweak toms independently from cymbals. There’s also support for user sample import and multi-layering via WAV files, allowing custom kits with up to 24 minutes of mono audio.
