The Rode RodeCaster Video Core is an all-in-one AV production console that brings professional video switching, audio mixing, recording, and live streaming together in a single compact unit. Designed for solo creators, podcasters, streamers, and content producers who need broadcast-quality output without a dedicated production team, it accepts up to four video sources — three via HDMI and one via USB — and allows real-time switching between them with fully customisable transitions including cuts, fades, dips, and wipes. Up to five unique scenes can be saved and recalled instantly, with multi-camera layouts including picture-in-picture, split screen, and graphics overlays all configurable from the companion RodeCaster App.

Audio is handled at the same professional level, with two Neutrik combo jacks powered by RØDE's Revolution Preamps™ for XLR and instrument sources, plus up to nine total audio channels routable from both wired and wireless connections. Every channel is equipped with APHEX processing including EQ, compression, noise gate, high-pass filter, de-esser, Aural Exciter, and Big Bottom, delivering broadcast-polished sound from the same console that manages your cameras. Intelligent auto-switching uses active audio detection to cut between sources hands-free during interviews, discussions, or multi-person podcasts — making it a uniquely capable tool for solo operators.

RodeCaster Sync allows the Video Core to pair with a RodeCaster Pro II or Duo, expanding inputs and outputs and unifying audio and video control on a single surface. Recording to external USB storage supports ISO recording for each source independently, providing maximum flexibility in post-production. EDL export for DaVinci Resolve automates the edit timeline import, eliminating manual rebuild. For live output, direct streaming to YouTube, Twitch, or any RTMP-compatible platform is built in via Ethernet — no capture card or external encoder required.
