Ibanez Iceman IC420MFM Electric Guitar – Caramel Burst Low Gloss

Ibanez Iceman IC420MFM Electric Guitar – Caramel Burst Low Gloss

The Ibanez IC420MFM brings the legendary Iceman shape into a modern, player-friendly package, combining classic style with practical performance. Its sweeping body lines and Caramel Burst Low Gloss finish deliver unmistakable character, while the flamed maple top adds visual depth without overpowering the natural feel of the instrument. A set-in okoume neck and comfortable body contours make long sessions easy, whether you’re rehearsing, recording or playing live.

Super 80 humbuckers provide bright, clear tones with vintage attitude, supported by flexible controls for shaping your sound. A maple fretboard with medium frets keeps articulation precise, while the Gibraltar Performer bridge and Quik Change III tailpiece improve sustain, tuning stability and string changes. Supplied with a fitted gig bag, the IC420MFM is a distinctive guitar built for players who value heritage, feel and reliability across a wide range of styles and playing situations with confidence and comfort.

Classic Iceman identity

The Iceman is one of the most recognisable shapes in Ibanez history, and the IC420MFM stays true to that legacy. Its sweeping curves and offset design create a bold visual statement that stands apart from traditional single-cut or double-cut guitars. The Caramel Burst Low Gloss finish highlights the flamed maple top beautifully. This balance of character and attitude makes the IC420MFM equally at home on stage, in the studio, or as part of a guitar collection.

Comfortable set-in neck feel

A set-in okoume neck gives the IC420MFM a smooth, connected feel between neck and body, enhancing sustain and overall resonance. The neck profile is designed for comfort, making it easy to settle into both rhythm and lead playing without fatigue. A bound maple fretboard adds snap and clarity to your tone, while medium frets support accurate intonation and controlled bends. This combination delivers a familiar, confidence-inspiring playing experience straight out of the case.

Super 80 pickup character

Super 80 humbuckers are known for their bright, articulate voice and distinctive vintage personality. They deliver clear note separation and a clean, open sound that responds well to picking dynamics and volume changes. With two volume controls, two tone controls and a three-way toggle switch, you’ve got plenty of flexibility to dial in everything from crisp cleans to driven classic rock tones. These pickups reward expressive playing and suit players who value clarity and touch sensitivity.

Reliable hardware and practical details

The Gibraltar Performer bridge is designed to maximise sustain while keeping a low, comfortable profile under your picking hand. Its solid construction helps maintain tuning stability during extended playing, while the Quik Change III tailpiece makes restringing quick and straightforward. Gold hardware complements the finish for a premium look, and the included fitted gig bag ensures the IC420MFM is protected when travelling between rehearsals, sessions and gigs.
