The Vater Xtreme Design XD-5A sits between a traditional 5A and 5B in grip, featuring a heavier taper for a solid, substantial feel. The Xtreme Design series is built for drummers who want more meat in the stick without going to a full 5B — offering added power and durability while maintaining the familiar 5A tip size.

The rounded barrel-style wood tip provides articulate cymbal definition, and the short taper gives the stick a front-weighted feel that's ideal for rock and heavier playing styles. At 16-1/2" in length, it's slightly longer than a standard 5A for extra reach.

Made from American hickory for maximum durability and shock absorption.
