Trinity Rock & Pop Vocals Grade 8 (Female Voice)

Trinity Rock & Pop Vocals Grade 8 (Female Voice)

The Trinity Rock & Pop Vocals Grade 8 book is the culmination of Trinity College London's contemporary vocal syllabus, representing the highest grade in the Rock & Pop examinations. Specifically arranged for the female voice, this book contains everything a vocalist needs to prepare for their Grade 8 exam, including sheet music, performance notes, and backing tracks for a diverse selection of songs spanning rock, pop, soul, and indie genres.

Designed for advanced singers who have progressed through the earlier grades or who already possess a high level of vocal ability, the Grade 8 repertoire challenges performers with demanding vocal ranges, complex phrasing, and nuanced expressive techniques. Each song is carefully selected to showcase different vocal skills, from powerful belt numbers to delicate, controlled ballads, giving candidates a well-rounded platform to demonstrate their musicianship and stage craft.

Trinity's Rock & Pop syllabus is renowned for its relevance to contemporary musicians, offering a refreshing alternative to classical exam routes. The Grade 8 book includes six songs — three from the syllabus list and three free-choice pieces — along with guidance on session skills such as improvisation and musical perception, making it not just an exam resource but a valuable collection for any serious contemporary vocalist looking to expand their repertoire.
