The Takamine EF450C-TT-TBB is a premium NEX cutaway acoustic-electric guitar from Takamine’s acclaimed Thermal Top (TT) Series, combining vintage-inspired tone with elegant craftsmanship and world-class electronics. Featuring a striking Transparent Black Burst (TBB) finish, ornate abalone detailing, and premium tonewoods, this guitar is designed for discerning musicians who demand exceptional performance both acoustically and on stage.

At the heart of the EF450C-TT-TBB is a solid Thermal Spruce top, specially heat-treated to replicate the tonal characteristics of a well-played vintage guitar. This thermal ageing process enhances resonance, responsiveness, and sustain from the very first note. Paired with a solid flame maple back and flame maple sides, the guitar delivers a bold, articulate voice with sparkling highs, focused mids, and excellent projection.

The maple neck is fitted with a premium ebony fingerboard, offering a fast, comfortable playing experience and outstanding note definition. Exquisite Grass Flower inlays, crafted from hundreds of pieces of abalone and mother-of-pearl, are complemented by a matching floral pickguard, gold tuning machines with pearl buttons, and elegant body binding, creating a truly luxurious aesthetic.

For live performance, the EF450C-TT-TBB features Takamine’s innovative TLD-2 Line Driver preamp paired with the legendary Palathetic™ undersaddle pickup. This discreet system preserves the guitar’s natural acoustic character while delivering a warm, detailed amplified tone with exceptional signal integrity, even over long cable runs. Hidden tone controls maintain the guitar’s clean appearance while providing precise tonal adjustment when needed.
