The Steinberger Spirit XT-2 Standard 4 String Bass - Hot Rod Red is the Ultimate Travel Bass and features the innovative Steinberger body design, patented DoubleBall™ Bass Bridge, Patented 40:1 Ratio Direct-Pull tuning system, powerful Steinberger HB pickups and comes with a deluxe gigbag. The XT-2 Standard Bass is part of Steinberger’s new Spirit Collection.

Ned Steinberger’s guitars and basses were completely unique when they were first introduced in 1979. With their lightweight and headless design, Steinberger basses are still bold, modern instruments that provides both a smooth tonal response with rock solid intonation at any position on the neck.

The XT-2 Standard Electric Bass Outfit features the revolutionary Steinberger Bass design with a Basswood body and 3-piece Hard Maple neck that together resonate as a single piece of wood. The XT-2 is the Ultimate Travel Bass™ for traveling musicians. With a scale length of 38.5” and weighing just 7.5lbs, its ergonomic design makes it easy to take anywhere including overhead airline compartments.

Thanks to its headless construction and 3-piece Hard Maple neck, the XT-2 isn’t as sensitive to temperature changes, which makes it virtually indestructible! The neck has a comfortable 1960's style SlimTaper™-D profile, 24 medium jumbo frets, a 34” scale length, and a 14” radius. A folding leg rest is also added and sits compactly on the lower bout of the body. A deluxe padded gigbag is included.
