PRS SE Mark Holcomb Signature Electric Guitar – Holcomb Blue Burst

The PRS SE Mark Holcomb in Holcomb Blue Burst brings crushing tone, speed, and precision straight from Periphery’s prog-metal mastermind. Built to Holcomb’s exact specifications, this guitar balances power and playability for modern players who demand clarity and aggression. Its mahogany body with a quilted maple veneer delivers rich, resonant tone and a striking stage presence, while the Wide Thin satin maple neck and 20” radius ebony fretboard make it effortless to play fast, articulate riffs and leads. It’s as comfortable for complex rhythm work as it is for soaring melodies.

Equipped with Mark Holcomb’s signature Seymour Duncan “Scourge” (bridge) and “Scarlet” (neck) pickups, this guitar provides the perfect blend of tight low-end punch, clear mids, and cutting highs. A push/pull tone control unlocks coil-tap versatility, while the PRS plate-style string-through bridge ensures solid tuning and endless sustain. Finished in stunning Holcomb Blue Burst with black chrome hardware, the SE Mark Holcomb model combines professional performance and addictive feel in a perfectly tuned metal machine.

Signature tone and clarity

Developed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan, Mark Holcomb’s signature “Scarlet” and “Scourge” pickups provide the perfect balance of aggression and definition. The bridge pickup delivers tight, articulate lows ideal for modern metal riffing, while the neck pickup adds warmth and clarity for fluid solos. Whether clean or distorted, every note cuts through the mix with precision.

Fast, modern neck design

The 25.5” scale length and Wide Thin neck profile provide excellent string tension for lower tunings like Drop C. Combined with a satin-finished maple neck and 20” radius ebony fretboard, the SE Mark Holcomb feels fast, responsive, and incredibly comfortable. It’s built for technical playing styles, offering a smooth glide across all 24 frets with effortless access to the upper register.

Built for power and sustain

The PRS plate-style string-through bridge maximises sustain and resonance while keeping intonation precise. Mahogany and maple construction gives the guitar a balanced tonal core, with warmth from the body and bite from the top. The combination results in huge, articulate sound that handles everything from djent chugs to ambient cleans.

Professional looks and hardware

Finished in stunning Holcomb Blue Burst, this guitar commands attention on stage and in the studio. Black chrome hardware adds a sleek, modern edge, while PRS-designed tuners keep your setup rock-solid through even the most aggressive playing. Supplied with a PRS gig bag and strung in Drop-C tuning, the SE Mark Holcomb is a ready-to-play weapon built for serious performers.
