PRS Custom 24-08 10-Top Electric Guitar - Cobalt Smokeburst-Charcoal

PRS Custom 24-08 10-Top Electric Guitar - Cobalt Smokeburst-Charcoal

The PRS Custom 24-08 10-Top Electric Guitar - Cobalt Smokeburst-Charcoal retains the familiar qualities of the company's original Custom — namely, the maple top, mahogany body and neck, 24 frets, and 25-inch scale — while adding modern features to expand its tonal flexibility. This stunning solidbody electric guitar is capped with an attention-grabbing figured maple 10-Top, a PRS hallmark. Of course, the Custom 24-08 10-Top is as playable as it is amazing to look at, thanks to its Pattern Thin neck and lightning-fast rosewood fingerboard. And when you plug it in, the Custom 24-08 10-Top yields fat, snarling humbucker tones with outstanding note articulation by virtue of its TCI pickups. You also get mini-toggle switches and a 3-way pickup selector, arming you with eight different pickup tones. The Custom 24-08 10-Top brandishes a rock-solid PRS Gen III tremolo for maximum expression, along with Phase III locking tuners with stunning wing buttons. Attractive natural body binding, iconic PRS Birds fingerboard inlays, gleaming hybrid hardware, and a light-catching gloss nitrocellulose finish put the perfect finishing touches on the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24-08 10-Top.

Built to be played

It goes without saying that this Custom 24-08's figured maple 10-Top is glorious to behold, but this solidbody guitar wasn't built to be stared at — it was built to be played. Don't believe us? Pick it up! The Custom 24-08 10-Top's mahogany neck boasts PRS's eminently comfortable Pattern Thin shape, which is guaranteed to spark your most inspired playing ever. You've never experienced fast and playable until you've gotten your hands on a Pattern Thin neck. Moreover, it's an excellent choice for players with smaller hands or guitarists who use classical left-hand positioning, pivoting with their thumb on the back of the neck. The Custom 24-08 10-Top also sports a 10-inch-radius, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard that's primed for lightning-fast fretwork.

Ear-grabbing TCI pickups

The PRS Custom 24-08 10-Top is equipped with a pair of amazing TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) pickups. The guitar's hot bridge pickup is perfect for deploying leads infused with fat, snarling tone; back off your volume control, and it cleans up beautifully. Switch to the neck pickup, and you'll hear every note articulated in a chord, even in high-gain situations. These pickups also include mini-toggle coil-tap switches, providing eight ear-grabbing tones to mix and match.

First-class hardware

If you're like the guitarists here, you'll appreciate the extreme pride PRS takes in their guitars, which is evident in every inch of the Custom 24-08 10-Top. Take its Gen III tremolo, for example. This superior design gives you intonation and tuning stability on par with a hardtail bridge while also equipping you with the expressive capabilities of a traditional vibrato. Beyond that, the Gen III tremolo transfers every vibrational nuance from your strings to the guitar's wood. You'll also appreciate the Custom 24-08 10-Top's Phase III locking tuners, which include stunning wing buttons. You'll also find that restringing your Custom 24-08 10-Top is fast and easy, enabling you to spend less time tuning up and more time playing.
