LP LP663A 6-Inch Bongo Drum Head Replacement for City Series

LP LP663A 6-Inch Bongo Drum Head Replacement for City Series

The LP663A is an official replacement drumhead manufactured by Latin Percussion specifically for the smaller macho (6-inch) drum of their LP City Series Bongo sets.

Material and Build

-

• Natural Rawhide: Crafted from authentic animal skin to deliver a warm, traditional tone.

• Pre-Mounted Design: Features a built-in wire flesh hoop, making it ready to drop straight onto your drum shell.

• EZ Curve Rim Fit: Specifically shaped to tuck neatly into the proprietary contour of LP’s City Series rims.

Tone and Performance

-

• Crisp Slaps: Offers excellent high-frequency response with a fast decay, ideal for the high-pitched accents required from a macho bongo.

• Consistent Thickness: Carefully selected for uniform density, ensuring the head tunes evenly without creating dead spots or overtones.

Critical Compatibility Note

This head is not universal. It will only fit LP City Series bongos (Model LP601NY). It will not fit other 6-inch bongos from different brands, nor will it fit premium LP lines like the Generation II, Matador, or LP Galaxy series, which use different rim dimensions.
