Fender Player II Modified Telecaster Electric Guitar - Harvest Green Metallic

The Fender Player II Modified Telecaster couples a hot-rodded combination of classic design and player-centric features that bridges the gap between iconic Tele tone and modern performance. With its Player II Noiseless pickups and a modified circuit featuring a treble bleed, the Player II Modified Telecaster operates with a noise-free, consistent tone — even at lower volumes. You can even inject humbucker thickness with a push-pull series switch pot that runs the single-coils in series. An alder body, a modern C maple neck, and a rolled fingerboard add up to refined playability, complete with newly designed sting trees and short shaft locking tuners for added stability. Tele fans who long for the brass of vintage instruments delight in this guitar’s secret: six satin chrome-plated brass saddles that facilitate trademark sustain while offering advanced intonation adjustment. Overall, the features and playability of the Player II Modified Tele culminate in an instrument with the classic aesthetic and feel you crave, as well as modern advancements that will elevate your playing experience.

A modified Tele experience

With a classic Fender shape and softer edges, the Player II Modified Telecaster plays like a Tele should, with a light, fast feel that few other designs can rival. Large enough to be comfortable in hand, the modern C shape is iconic for a reason, allowing enough girth for chords while remaining agile for faster runs and solos. The rolled fingerboard edges are free from sharp edges with a contour that mimics the hand's natural curvature.

Stability and sustain

Fender’s Player II series is known for its player-friendly design, and the Player II Modified Telecaster doubles down on this element. A set of ClassicGear short-shaft locking tuners adorns the headstock, allowing for fewer wraps while helping to hold your strings closer to the headstock for added stability. Working in tandem with the tuners, a newly designed string tree with a smoother edge seats the higher strings, creating fewer snags when tuning. Fender understands the importance of brass saddles on a Tele, and the Player II Modified Telecaster retains six with a clean satin chrome finish, expediting precision, stability, and superior intonation adjustment.

A merger of silent technology and classic tones

Debuting in 1998, Fender’s Noiseless single-coil changed the guitar world. Fender modified this iconic design to create its exclusive Player II Noiseless Tele pickup, which offers the iconic Tele twang with articulate highs, aggressive mids, and mellow lows. A modified circuit brings modern flexibility to this Telecaster, with features that retain vintage tones while adding an assortment of contemporary sounds. Meanwhile, a treble bleed pot adds a highpass filter as you lower the volume, keeping the crisp high end that is often lost at lower volumes. Packed into a push-pull pot, a series switch offers a humbucker’s thickness to the traditional Tele format by running both pickups together for a fatter sound and punchy tone.
