At its core lies Barefoot’s proven tri-amplified architecture — delivering 260 watts of power distributed across three precision Class-D amplifiers:

• 60 W for the 1″ ring-radiator tweeter

• 100 W for the 3.5″ aluminum-cone midrange

• 100 W for the dual 6.5″ aluminum-cone woofers

Each driver has been custom-engineered with advanced magnet and motor systems, copper shorting rings, and optimized heat-sink structures to minimize distortion, extend dynamic range, and maintain reliability even during high-demand sessions.

Unlike the ported design of the Footprint 03, the 03C employs a sealed-box configuration, giving it a compact, shallow profile ideal for center-channel mounting without sacrificing low-end control. The sealed architecture delivers a tight, focused bass response down to 42 Hz with excellent transient accuracy and no port coloration — perfect for translating critical dialogue, vocals, and mix balance.

The cabinet is crafted from medium-density fiberboard (MDF) with Barefoot’s signature Footprint Gray polyester coating and aluminum baffle plate. Built using stress-assembly techniques for increased rigidity and damping, it upholds the same world-class build standards found in every Barefoot Sound monitor.

Internally, the 03C features Barefoot’s acclaimed SPOC™ (Spectrally Optimized Conversion) technology — a patented analog-before-digital crossover topology that preserves high-frequency detail, enhances resolution, and improves the signal-to-noise ratio by 15 dB. Coupled with Barefoot’s advanced Digital Signal Processor (DSP), latency is reduced to an imperceptible 3 ms, ensuring instantaneous transient response and pristine sonic detail.
