The heart of the OC-B6 is Austrian Audio's CKR6-B capsule. This 1-inch, edge-contacted, large-diaphragm condenser capsule is handmade in Vienna and features an Austrian Audio-patented ceramic isolator with an increased distance between the diaphragm and the back plate. These features allow the CKR6-B capsule to deftly handle a genuinely amazing amount of SPL without distorting — greater than 170dB! Additionally, the actual sound of the OC-B6 mic as a whole is clear and transparent, without any unwanted coloration, and a subsonic filter at 25Hz takes care of any bottom-end rumble. This lets you shape your kick drum sound as you please, ensuring the perfect tone for any recording or performance.

Placement as you see fit

With its 220-degree rotating head and compact design, you can use the OC-B6 in even the tightest of situations and at any position, including inside the drum, outside the drum, or directly at the port. What's more, the OC-B6 has its own built-in mic thread, so you don't even need a separate mic clip.
