The API 3124V is a 4-channel, all-discrete Class A microphone preamp that delivers the unmistakable API punch, warmth, and clarity trusted by recording professionals around the world. Each channel features a transformer-balanced input and output, API’s proprietary 2520 op-amp, and an extended headroom design for pristine handling of any source. From drums and vocals to guitars and orchestral setups, the 3124V offers unmatched tone, transient response, and depth.
The 3124V adds several modern enhancements for flexibility in today’s studios. A variable output level control allows engineers to drive the input stage harder for desirable transformer saturation while maintaining control over final output level — perfect for achieving either clean precision or classic API grit.
