How to choose
Choose an amp head weight and cabinet size based on how far you have to carry your rig and how big your usual venue is.
Beginner
A first bass rig works well with the AG500V2 head and a single DB 115 or SL112 cabinet, both light enough to move without help. Keep the amp on a stand or cabinet top rather than the floor, so airflow around it stays clear.
Intermediate
Once you are playing regularly, the AG700V2 or TH500V2 head paired with a DB 210 or SL 210 cabinet gives more volume for medium venues. Check speaker cable connections before each gig, since a loose cable is a common cause of dropped sound mid-set.
Expert
For big rooms, the Tone Hammer 500 or 700 Super Light head driving a DB 410, DB 810 or SL 410x cabinet gives the low-end power that large stages need. Use the dedicated carry bag for the head between shows, and let cabinets cool before covering them after a long set.
