How to choose

Build your rig from the head down, matching cabinet size to the room you play in most.

Beginner

A bassist assembling a first proper rig should pair the Tone Hammer 500 Super Light head with a single DB 210 cabinet, which is manageable to carry and covers small to medium venues. Practice with the amPlug 3 Tone Hammer headphone amp at home to save on volume.

Intermediate

A gigging bassist wanting more headroom can move to the AG500V2 or AG700V2 head paired with the DB 115 cabinet for a bigger low end. Add the AGRO overdrive pedal to shape tone for heavier songs in a set.

Expert

A touring or session bassist can run the AG700V2 through the SL 210 cabinet for a lighter but still powerful rig, and swap in AG DCB-G3 or AG 5P-60 pickups to fine tune the instrument's own tone before it hits the amp. Keep the OBP-3SK preamp settings documented across different basses for consistent results.
