Blending ’60s Starfire style with 1950s DeArmond tone, Guild’s Starfire I DC is a multi-generational tribute to Guild’s vintage heyday. This guitar’s feedback-resistant semi-hollow maple body and expressive Guild vibrato tailpiece come straight out of the typical double-cut Starfire playbook, paired with a sleek 9.5-inch-radius ebony fingerboard for all the benefits of modern playability. And while the round lows, sparkling trebles, and hi-fi voice of DeArmond Dynasonic pickups are standard on many a Guild, they’re a rare sight to see on a 1960s-style double-cut like this Starfire I DC! Guild finishes this guitar’s utterly refined vibe off with a glittering set of gold hardware, from the Grover Sta-Tite open-gear tuners to a Tune-o-matic bridge to even the pickup switch. Dual DynaSonic pickups deliver timeless single-coil sound
Boasting the twang of a classic single-coil and the bite of a P-90, vintage-single-coil fanatics have long championed DeArmond DynaSonic pickups for their sweet, glossy highs, and well-rounded lows. Run these pups into a clean amp, and you’ll enjoy a muscular blend of snap, punch, and bite. Park them in front of an overdriven amp, and you’ll experience a euphoric crunch that can’t be achieved with any other pickup. Semi-hollow construction
A center-block, semi-hollow construction — hollow on both sides with a solid core running through the center — gives the Starfire I DC electric guitar that classic Guild tone and response without sacrificing live playability.
