Let’s take a closer look at the models shaping the next generation of Fender tone.
What’s New?
Every instrument in the Player II Modified range features:

- TUSQ® nuts and advanced hardware for exceptional tuning stability
Stratocasters

Player II Modified Stratocaster

The classic Strat® gets a precision overhaul. With a modern “C” neck profile, satin finish, rolled fingerboard edges, and noiseless pickups, this Strat offers that unmistakable Fender chime — without the hum. The push/pull tone knob adds the neck pickup to positions 1 and 2 for expanded sonic options, and the 2-point tremolo with chamfered block invites expressive vibrato play.
Player II Modified Stratocaster HSS

Add a little more muscle to your Strat with an articulate, high-output humbucker in the bridge. The HSS model offers the same fluid playability and stable tuning, with the added flexibility of coil-splitting the humbucker for vintage Strat single-coil tones.
Player II Modified Stratocaster HSS Floyd Rose

Built for expressive players and shredders alike, this version ups the ante with a 12”-radius fingerboard and a double-locking Floyd Rose® Special tremolo system. Split the bridge humbucker for tonal variety, or divebomb into oblivion without going out of tune.
Telecasters

Player II Modified Telecaster

Classic twang meets modern refinement. Noiseless pickups give you the bite and snap Tele® fans crave, while the push/pull tone control switches the pickups from parallel to series for thicker, more powerful tones. A 6-saddle brass bridge and locking tuners round out this versatile workhorse.
Player II Modified Telecaster SH

For those who love the Tele feel but want a humbucker punch, this SH model delivers. With a powerful neck humbucker that splits via push/pull tone control, you get everything from creamy leads to bright, biting rhythms — all with rock-solid tuning and slick playability.
Bass Guitars

Player II Modified Active Precision Bass

This isn’t your granddad’s P-Bass. While retaining the warm punch Fender is known for, this modern version adds a noiseless Jazz Bass® bridge pickup and a newly designed active preamp with passive tone control. Perfect for players who want vintage tone with surgical control over their EQ.
Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass

Expect deep growl and cutting clarity from the noiseless Jazz pickups, but with no hum. The onboard preamp includes a 3-band EQ and passive tone control for total tonal flexibility. A HiMass™ bridge and TUSQ® nut ensure stability and sustain.
Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass V

Need that low B string? The 5-string version of the Active Jazz Bass® adds extended range while retaining the same premium features — noiseless pickups, active preamp, HiMass™ 5-saddle bridge, and lightweight tapered tuners — for thunderous tone and all-day comfort.
